Overview

The sublime views from mount Lobuche make it one of the most quintessentially well known mountain trek, notwithstanding its trouble level being more testing than that of close by Island Peak. From the summit, you’ll have the opportunity to gaze out at bold Everest, and also a few
peaks on the Tibetan side of Rongbuk. Climbing Lobuche peak is an ordeal you’ll cherish for a lifetime.
We prepare for the Lobuche peak climbing with a stop at the Everest Base Camp. Here, you’ll figure out mountain life and an exercise on climbing. Our bodies will likewise acclimatise for the thin air on Lobuche. Altitude sickness is something we endeavor to evade, and our carefully made schedule is intended for ideal change. In transit, we’ll climb the “dark shake” of Kala Patthar, and experience a stunning Himalayan scene.
Obviously, it’s as much about the trip as the goal. Our trek will bring us through enchanting Sherpa towns, where you’ll encounter an essence of how people survive in probably the most cold residences on Earth, and discover that friendliness genuinely guarantees no dialect. Your photos will shock, and your recollections will flabbergast.

Itinerary

Upon your arrival at the airport, be greeted by our representative waiting outside the terminal. They will escort you to the centrally located hotel in Kathmandu, and assist with the check-in process. After settling in, you can choose to relax at the hotel or visit our Trek Around Himalayas office to gather information about your trip. To cap off your first day, we will treat you to a warm welcome dinner.

The second day of the Island Peak Climbing itinerary is a city tour of Kathmandu, which is the vintage capital of Nepal and holds many ancient arts, temples, and monuments. The city tour includes visiting 3 to 4 world heritage sites such as Pashupatinath Temple, Kathmandu Durbar Square, Patan Durbar Square, Boudhanath Stupa, and Swyambhunath Stupa. After the city tour, there will be some last-minute shopping at the marketplace, Thamel, before returning to the hotel for the overnight stay.

Starting your day with a hearty breakfast at the hotel, you'll journey to Tribhuvan International Airport for an early morning flight to Lukla. Lukla serves as the entry point to the Khumbu and the entire Everest Region. Once you've landed, your trek will begin with a gradual uphill hike along the left bank of the Dudh Koshi River, passing by numerous Mani walls before reaching Ghat. From there, you'll encounter a mix of uphill and downhill trekking as you make your way to Phakding.

Today you will trek along Dudhkoshi and Bhotekoshi rivers crossing several suspension bridges. If lucky you may get the first glimpse of Mount Everest and Lhotse while trekking up to Namche Bazar. Through the pine forest. You will experience a combination of uphill and downhill walking. You will halt at the entrance of Sagarmatha National Park for registration purposes, following which you will make a steady ascent towards Namche Bazaar, the hub of the Sherpa community. You will spend an additional day in Namche Bazaar, exploring the area and acclimatizing to the high altitude

This is the scheduled acclimatization day for this trip. Health experts always recommend we remain active while we have est day here so We can choose to spend the day taking a day hike to Thame or visiting Khunde or relaxing and exploring Namche Bazaar itself. Namche Bazaar is the main center of the Everest (Khumbu) region and has government offices, ATMs, Internet cafes, shops, restaurants, a bakery, and a colorful market each Friday evening and Saturday. We also take an interesting side trip up to Khumjung. We climb up to the famous airstrip at Syangboche. Just above the airstrip is the Everest View Hotel,

Following your day at Namche Bazaar, you'll trek down to Dudhkoshi River through the Rhododendron forest on your journey to Tengboche. Along the way, you'll traverse the Mongla Pass, reaching an altitude of 3,975m. The trail offers breathtaking views of stunning mountains and eventually leads you to the region's largest and most magnificent monastery, Tenngboche

On your sixth day of adventure, you will trek through a stunning alpine forest. Along the way, you will encounter several quaint mountain villages, providing a glimpse into the lives of the local residents. The trail will lead you across the Imja River and Khumbila Khola Valley, with an ascent towards the ridge that will leave you in awe of the breathtaking surroundings. The path to Dingboche offers a breathtaking view of magnificent peaks such as Mt. Nuptse and Mt. Cholaste, among others.

It is sensible to spend another day acclimatizing before heading to higher altitudes. One way of doing this is to hike up to Chukkung Valley (4730m) and onto Island Peak (Imja Tes). Above Dingboche is Nagkartshang Gompa (a strenuous trek that takes around 2 to 3 hours), or alternatively head to Pheriche for an afternoon lecture on altitude sickness.

After breakfast takes us to Dugla before traversing the steep moraine of the Khumbu Glacier. After crossing the glazier we then pass through the boulder-strewn slopes as we ascend the Chupki Lhara passing. The trail then continues to the Khumbu Glacier moraine where before us are some of the great Himalayan peaks - Khumbutse, Lingtren, Pumori, and Mahalangur Himal. Overnight stay in Lobuche

Today you will trek through rocky dunes, streams, and moraine. You will get to Gorakshep drop your bags at the hotel and hike up to Everest Base Camp. The air is thin and trekking is strenuous but all the effort is supplemented by the mystic view of the world’s tallest mountain standing bold just in front of the eyes. You will take epic photographs and make lifetime memorable moments.

Early in the morning, you will trek to Kalapatthar for the best sunrise and breathtaking views of Mt. Everest and many more 8thousand mountains. The air is thin and trekking is strenuous but all the effort is supplemented by the mystic view of the world’s tallest mountain standing bold just in front of the eyes. You will take epic photographs and make lifetime memorable moments.

After breakfast, we make our way from Lobuche Base Camp to Lobuche High Camp. The climb takes about 4 hours. The High camp is located at an altitude of 5,600m/18,368 ft. From Base Camp, we follow a path across a rocky moraine before reaching High Camp. Once we reach High Camp we prepare our camp for the overnight stay, have lunch, and relax. If you walk around, rather than sit around, this will help you to acclimatize to this high altitude.

Today is the day we have been anxiously awaiting. We start our day in the early hours in order to reach the summit. Lobuche East offers more panoramic views of the mountains than other peaks - such as Island Peak. Arriving at Lobuche summit you can take in spectacular, panoramic, and exhilarating views of Everest, Lhotse, Nuptse, Ama Dablam, Cholatse, Pumori, and other nearby peaks. Our time at the summit is spent taking photos and taking a short rest before descending back to Thukla.

The weather in high-altitude regions, including Lobuche East Peak, can be unpredictable. A reserve day is included in the itinerary in case of bad weather during the scheduled summit day, but if everything goes according to plan, the trek will continue as planned.

Our day begins right after breakfast and then we head downhill from Lobuche Base Camp and again join the Everest Base Camp route at Lobuche. We have lunch at Lobuche before retracing our footsteps back to Pheriche. During our trek to Pheriche, we can again take in the magnificent distant views of Mt. Amadablam. Passing through Pheriche, we continue to Pangboche. Some of the other peaks that you will appreciate our Pokalde, Thamserku, Kantega, and others. We descend and trek down a hillside with layers of rhododendron and juniper trees. If this trek is in spring, the hills will be bright with pink and red rhododendron flowers. After reaching Pangboche you will have an opportunity to visit the famous Pangoche Monastery.

After crossing the bridge, adorned with prayer flags, over the Dudh Koshi River the trail then traverses the Dudh Koshi gorge descending rapidly through the pine forests. The path eventually reaches Sansa which is the major trail junction in the region. We can then appreciate the ravening splendor of Ama Dablam, Thamserku, and Nuptse with every footstep. After a break for lunch, the trail hugs the mountainside before reaching Namche Bazaar and Kyangjuma, winding our way around several bends. We should keep a watchful eye on wildlife, such as mountain goats, snow leopards, colorful pheasants, and other animals while passing through the forest. Once we pass a Chorten (Buddhist shrine), we reach the army camp at Namche Bazaar. From here we can look back and absorb the beauty of Lhotse, the tip of Everest and Tengboche. After reaching our lodge we can take a nice hot shower and enjoy a relaxing night’s rest at Namche Bazaar.

Early morning after breakfast you will descend down to river Dudhkoshi, and cross several tributaries. Along the way, you can see many Sherpa settlements and a busy trail with tourists, people, and animals. You will get to Lukla for an overnight stay.

Start your day with a filling breakfast, then board an early morning flight from Lukla to Kathmandu. Upon arrival, you will be taken to the hotel. Take some time to rest, or explore the bustling streets of Thamel. Walking around Thamel is a great way to experience the sights and sounds of Kathmandu. To celebrate the successful completion of the trek, Trek Around Himalayas will host a farewell dinner in the evening where you can sit and reflect on your journey.

Your journey home begins today. Our representatives from Trek Around Himalayas will escort you to the International Airport in accordance with your flight schedule. It's recommended to arrive at the airport three hours before your flight. Trek Around Himalayas will provide a fond farewell, ensuring that your experience with us is remembered forever.
