Your 4 days Bardiya tour begins in Kathmandu by exploring the important landmark. You can admire a grand collection of architectural masterpieces, ancient culture and excellent wood craftsmanship and stone sculpture throughout the city. Kathmandu Bardiya tour is a combination of cultural and wilderness activities. Next, you visit the sub-tropical forest of Bardiya National Park which is the largest and most undisturbed national park in the Terai region of Nepal. The park encompasses 968 sq km of dense forest and grasslands which is a home to 53 species of mammals including Bengal tiger, one horned rhinoceros, wild elephant, some 407 species of birds including white-romped vulture, Bengal florican, peafowl, and bar-headed geese. You will engage in a number of fun jungle activities including deep jungle walk, bird watching, elephant safari and boat safari. During your tour in Bardiya National Park you will also get to know the authentic Tharu culture of western Nepal.
You will take a flight from Kathmandu to Nepalgunj, located in western Nepal. After then you will drive to the Bardiya National Park and check in to your jungle resort.
After breakfast you will embark on full day walking safari to view Gangetic Dolphin in Karnali river. Afterwards your guide will lead you through the parks buffer zone where you can see local people and lifestyle. By the evening you will get back to you jungle resort for staying overnight.
Exploration of Tiger territory on elephant back safari or jeep safari, this is the fastest way to explore the park, allowing you to journey deep into the jungle. You will also have the option of boat safari accompanied by a trained rafting guide, well suited for maneuvering the river which does not have any rapids. You will stay overnight in your jungle resort.
Early morning you will stroll out for bird watching followed by a chance to relax or explore the surrounding village. You can also take a jeep or drift down the Karnali River for sightings of the many river birds. After the safari, you will drive back to Nepalgunj and then take a flight back to Kathmandu. In Kathmandu your guide will transfer you to your hotel for staying overnight.
